he Dexcom ONE sensor measures glucose levels just beneath the skin. Each sensor comes with an auto-applicator to make the insertion process quick and easy. The sensor can be worn for up to 10 days, providing continuous glucose monitoring.
The Dexcom ONE Sensor is only compatible with other Dexcom ONE products and compatible smart devices.
Directions
The Dexcom ONE Sensor can be inserted in parts of the body where there is padding. The abdomen and the back of the arm are the most suitable places. Children between 2 and 17 can also choose the top of the buttocks.
Dexcom offers video guidance on its website for people who need further support with this product.
Warnings
For the insertion needle to measure the glucose it must penetrate the dermis layer of the skin. This can cause bleeding but it is nothing to worry about. Inserting the sensor too deeply can also cause bleeding. Be careful to make sure you avoid excess pressure when you insert it.
If bleeding spreads to the transmitter housing, remove the sensor and insert a new one.
If you experience an allergic reaction after using this product, discontinue use and speak to your GP or Ways pharmacy pharmacist for advice.
