Drug class: Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs)
May include: Esomeprazole 20mg, Rabeprazole 10mg, Lansoprazole 15/30mg
Dosage: Once daily, preferably 30 minutes before breakfast
Form: Gastro-resistant capsules or orodispersible tablets (do not chew or crush)
Treatment course: Initial 4-week course is recommended. If symptoms persist, further GP referral is advised
