Who is Nasonex for?

Nasonex is suitable for:

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over
• Patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever)
• Individuals with perennial rhinitis triggered by dust mites, pet dander, or mould
• Adults with nasal polyps (to reduce swelling and prevent recurrence)

Who should not use Nasonex?

• Do not use Nasonex if you:
• Are allergic to mometasone or any of the spray’s ingredients
• Have an untreated infection in the nose (e.g. fungal or bacterial)
• Have recently had nasal surgery or trauma, unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless your doctor has advised it is safe

Consult your pharmacist if you have a weakened immune system or are using other corticosteroid medications.

Directions:

Allergic rhinitis:

1. Adults and adolescents (12+): 2 sprays in each nostril once daily
2. Reduce to 1 spray in each nostril daily when symptoms are controlled

Nasal polyps (adults only):

1. Start with 2 sprays in each nostril once daily
2. If needed, increase to twice daily (morning and evening)

Instructions:

1. Shake the bottle gently before each use
2. Blow your nose gently to clear the nostrils
3. Tilt your head slightly forward and spray as directed
4. Clean the nozzle regularly as per leaflet instructions

Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by a healthcare professional.
