Multi-Action Actifed Dry Coughs is for adults and children aged 12 and over with irritating dry cough and related cold and flu congestion symptoms. Bottle: 100ml.

Key features and how it works

Triprolidine is an antihistamine, pseudoephedrine relieves a blocked nose, and dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Each 5ml contains triprolidine hydrochloride 1.25mg, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 10mg.

Directions for use

• Adults and children aged 12 and over: take 10ml up to four times daily using a medicine measure. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
• Do not exceed 40ml in 24 hours. If symptoms persist for more than 5 days or worsen, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and precautions

• Not for children under 12. Do not use if allergic to any ingredient or with other cough and cold medicines.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or use machinery if affected, and avoid alcohol.
• Do not use with MAOI or RIMA antidepressants, or within 14 days of stopping them; do not use with SSRIs or beta blockers.
• Do not use if you have lung disease, diabetes, phaeochromocytoma, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma, severe kidney disease, severe or uncontrolled high blood pressure, or heart disease.
• Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking other medicines, or if you have liver, kidney, prostate or circulation problems, asthma, or a persistent or mucus-producing cough.
• For short-term use only: regular prolonged use may cause dependence. Stop and seek urgent help for a sudden severe headache, confusion, seizures, visual changes, severe abdominal pain, rectal bleeding or a severe skin reaction.
• Contains sugars, sorbitol and alcohol; check the leaflet for ingredient sensitivities. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Store below 25°C.
