Booking FAQs
Do I need a GP referral or to be registered with an NHS GP?
No. Everything on this page is a private service — you don't need a referral, an NHS number or to be registered with a GP. Visitors, students and new arrivals to the UK are welcome.
Do I pay when I book?
No payment is taken online for pharmacy appointments — you pay at the pharmacy on the day by card. Blood tests and home kits bought through the website are paid at checkout, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Can I book for my child or another family member?
Yes. Enter the patient's details when booking and come along with them. For children's vaccinations, a parent or legal guardian must attend; the pharmacist will confirm the vaccine is suitable for their age.
How soon can I be seen?
Most vaccination and consultation slots are available within the same week, often the same day. Blood-test results are typically returned in 3–5 working days.
Can I get a certificate or record of my vaccination?
Yes. Every vaccination comes with a written record, and we can issue certificates for travel (including yellow fever and Meningitis ACWY for Hajj & Umrah). Chinese-language explanations are available on request.
What if I need to change or cancel?
Use the link in your confirmation message, or call 020 8106 7084 — we ask for 24 hours' notice where possible so the slot can go to someone else.
Are you an NHS pharmacy as well?
Yes. Ways Pharmacy is a GPhC-registered community pharmacy that dispenses NHS prescriptions and offers NHS services alongside the private services listed here. Ask in store or call us about NHS options.
