Frequently asked questions
How often can I use it?
One spray in each nostril, up to 3 times a day, for adults and children aged 12 and over.
Why only 7 days?
Using a decongestant spray for longer can cause rebound congestion, so do not use it for more than 7 days in a row.
Is it different from Otrivine Allergy Relief or Blocked Nose Relief?
They contain the same active ingredient at the same strength (xylometazoline 0.1%) and share one licence; the pack names reflect the symptom focus.
Can I use it in pregnancy?
No. The leaflet advises against use during pregnancy. If breastfeeding, use only on a doctor's advice.
Can children use it?
Only children aged 12 and over. It is not suitable for younger children.
