Not suitable for: Babies under 2 months. Do not give it to a child who has reacted badly to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients, or who is already taking anything else containing paracetamol. Babies aged 2-3 months must not be given it for pain or fever from other causes if they weigh less than 4 kg or were born before 37 weeks - get advice from a pharmacist or doctor instead. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist first if your child has serious kidney or liver problems, or an inherited intolerance to fructose or some other sugars.

How to use

Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use.
Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds, then draw up the dose using the syringe supplied.
Give the correct dose for your child's age: 3-6 months 2.5 ml, 6-24 months 5 ml, 2-4 years 7.5 ml, 4-6 years 10 ml.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses and give no more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
Do not give anything else containing paracetamol at the same time.
Do not give for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist. Wash and dry the syringe after use.

Frequently asked questions

From what age can I give it?

From 2 months. Do not give it to babies under 2 months old without seeing your doctor. The bottle covers children up to 6 years; for children over 6 ask a pharmacist for a suitable product.

How much do I give a 2-3 month old baby?

For pain or fever from other causes, 2.5 ml, with a second 2.5 ml dose after 4-6 hours if needed, and no more than 2 doses. Only give it if your baby weighs over 4 kg and was born after 37 weeks. If your baby is still feverish after two doses, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

What is the dose for fever after vaccinations?

For fever after the 2, 3 and 4 month vaccinations, give 2.5 ml. This dose may be given up to 4 times a day starting at the time of vaccination, leaving at least 4 hours between doses. If your baby still needs it two days after the vaccine, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

How often can I give a dose?

Up to 4 times in 24 hours, with at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.

Can I give it alongside other cold or pain medicines?

Not if they also contain paracetamol. Check the label of anything else you give, and ask your pharmacist if you are unsure.

How should I store it?

Do not store above 25°C and keep the bottle in the outer carton. Do not use it after the expiry date on the label.

Safety and storage

Do not exceed the stated dose. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if your child seems well, because of the risk of delayed liver damage.
Do not give with any other paracetamol-containing product.
Do not store above 25°C. Keep the bottle in the outer carton.
