Frequently asked questions

Is DoubleBase Flare Relief a steroid?

No. It is a steroid-free emollient. It contains niacinamide alongside moisturising ingredients to help calm dry, reddened skin, and can be used as often as needed.

What does the niacinamide do?

Niacinamide is a vitamin B3 derivative included to help reduce the appearance of redness and support flare-prone skin, without any steroid. The emollient base locks in moisture and helps protect the skin barrier.

Can children use DoubleBase Flare Relief?

It is suitable for adults, children and infants over one year of age. For infants under one year, ask your pharmacist or doctor before use.

Can I use it on eczema and psoriasis?

Yes. It is intended for dry, flare-prone skin in mild to moderate eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. It moisturises and helps calm redness but does not cure these conditions; speak to your pharmacist or GP if they are not controlled.

Does it cure eczema?

No. An emollient does not cure eczema; it moisturises the skin, helps relieve dryness and supports the skin barrier as part of a daily routine. If your skin is flaring or not controlled, speak to your pharmacist or GP.

Safety and storage
