**Product Details**

Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets (Pack of 3) – Mint Flavour – provide extra-strength relief from heartburn, indigestion, and reflux cough. These tablets work instantly and are safe to use during pregnancy.

**How It Works**
Gaviscon Advance contains twice the concentration of sodium alginate, forming a stronger, more resilient barrier (or "raft") over the stomach to prevent acid from rising into the esophagus.

**Warnings / Side Effects**

Do not take this product if:
- You are allergic to any of its ingredients, as rare cases of breathing difficulties and skin rashes have been reported.

**Special Precautions:**
- Each tablet contains 1.0 mmol of calcium and 1.01 mmol (39.43 mg) of potassium, which is important for those with kidney issues or on controlled potassium diets.
- This product also contains 53.22 mg of sodium per tablet (2.7% of the recommended daily sodium intake for adults). Consult a doctor if you are on a salt-restricted diet.
- The maximum daily dose of this product contains 425.76 mg of sodium, which is 21.28% of the adult recommended daily sodium limit.
- Each tablet contains 4.5 mg of aspartame (E951), a source of phenylalanine. Those with phenylketonuria (PKU), a rare genetic disorder, should avoid it.

**Interaction with Other Medicines:**
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including non-prescription drugs. Ensure there is a 2-hour gap between taking Gaviscon Advance and medications like:
- Tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones (antibiotics)
- Iron supplements
- Thyroid hormones
- Chloroquine (for malaria)
- Bisphosphonates (for osteoporosis)
- Estramustine (for prostate cancer)

**Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:**
This product is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, as with all medications, use it for the shortest duration necessary.

**Usage Instructions**
- For oral use: Chew thoroughly before swallowing.
- **Adults and children over 12 years**: Take 1-2 tablets after meals and at bedtime when symptoms occur.
- **Children under 12 years**: Only use on medical advice.
- If you forget a dose, just continue with the next dose as usual. Do not double the dose.
- If you take too much, you may experience bloating and abdominal discomfort. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if needed.
