Frequently asked questions

What is in Glucosamine Complete?

Three tablets provide 1400mg of glucosamine sulphate (as plant-derived GlucosaGreen), 330mg of Phytodroitin (a seaweed-based alternative to chondroitin), plus MSM, ginger, rose hips and quercetin. It is sold as a food supplement, not a medicine.

Is there an authorised health claim for this product?

The rose hips in the formula are naturally rich in vitamin C, and vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage under the EU/UK Register of Health Claims. We make no specific health claim for the glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, ginger or quercetin themselves, as none is authorised.

Is it suitable for vegans and people with a shellfish allergy?

Yes. The glucosamine is GlucosaGreen, made by a direct-fermentation process rather than from shellfish, and the chondroitin alternative is plant-based. This makes the product vegan-friendly and suitable for people who cannot take traditional shellfish-derived glucosamine.

What is GlucosaGreen?

GlucosaGreen is a commercially available glucosamine produced by fermentation. It is bioequivalent to glucosamine derived from shellfish but offers full supply-chain transparency and avoids shellfish allergens.

How many tablets do I take and how long does a pack last?

The serving is three tablets a day. A 120-tablet pack therefore lasts about 40 days.
