Laxido Orange Sachets are orange-flavoured, sugar-free laxative sachets containing macrogol 3350 with electrolytes. They are used to treat chronic constipation and medically diagnosed faecal impaction in adults, adolescents aged 12 years and over, and older people. Available in packs of 20 or 30 sachets.

How to Use
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125ml of water and stir until dissolved.
For chronic constipation: Adults, adolescents aged 12 years and over, and older people should take 1–3 sachets daily in divided doses according to individual response. Treatment does not normally exceed two weeks unless advised otherwise by a doctor or pharmacist.
For faecal impaction: This condition should first be confirmed by a healthcare professional. The usual dose is 8 sachets daily, consumed within six hours, for no longer than three days. All 8 sachets may be dissolved in 1 litre of water. Follow the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. If you have impaired cardiovascular function, do not take more than 2 sachets in any one hour.
Maintain an adequate fluid intake. Other oral medicines should not be taken for one hour before or one hour after Laxido Orange.
Active Ingredients
Each sachet contains macrogol 3350 13.125g, sodium chloride 350.7mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 178.5mg and potassium chloride 46.6mg.
Other ingredients: acesulfame potassium (E950) and orange flavour containing natural flavouring substances and preparations, maltodextrin and propylene glycol (E1520).
Warnings & Storage
- Not recommended for children under 12 years.
- Do not take if you are allergic to any ingredient.
- Do not use if you have intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, ileus, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease or toxic megacolon.
- Each sachet contains 187mg sodium. Ask your pharmacist for advice if you follow a low-sodium diet.
- Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have swallowing difficulties or use a starch-based thickener.
- Stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice if you develop signs of an allergic reaction or changes in fluid or electrolyte levels.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store unopened sachets below 25°C. Refrigerated prepared solution must be covered and used within six hours.
