Frequently asked questions

How does Optrex ActiMist spray work?

It delivers tiny liposomes onto the closed eyelid that migrate to the eye and reinforce the lipid layer of the tear film, helping reduce evaporation so eyes feel less dry and itchy.

Can I use Optrex ActiMist with contact lenses?

Yes. Because it is sprayed onto the closed eyelid rather than dropped into the eye, it can be used with contact lenses in place. Check your lens leaflet if you are unsure.

How often can I use the spray?

Spray 1-2 times onto each closed eyelid up to 3-4 times a day. If symptoms persist despite regular use, see your pharmacist or an optometrist.

Can children use Optrex ActiMist?

It is suitable for adults and children aged 2 and over. For a child under 2, or if unsure, speak to your pharmacist first.

How long does the spray last after opening?

Discard the spray 6 months after first opening, even if product remains, and do not use after the printed expiry date.
