Frequently asked questions
How many Panadol Period Pain tablets can I take a day?
Adults and children aged 16 and over can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours. Children aged 12 to 15 take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours, up to 4 tablets in 24 hours. Do not take a dose more often than every 4 hours.
How is Panadol Period Pain different from Panadol Extra?
They share the same active ingredients, paracetamol 500mg and caffeine 65mg, and are positioned for different uses. Panadol Period Pain is marketed for menstrual pain, but the composition and dosing are the same as Panadol Extra Advance. Do not take both together.
Can I take it with other paracetamol products?
No. Each tablet already contains 500mg of paracetamol, so you must not take it with any other paracetamol-containing product. Taking more than one at once risks a serious overdose.
Can I take Panadol Period Pain with ibuprofen?
Yes. It can be taken alongside ibuprofen, as they work in different ways, provided you stay within the maximum daily dose of each. Avoid other products that contain paracetamol or caffeine.
