Dymista Control 137 Micrograms/50 Micrograms per Actuation Nasal Spray - 120 Sprays

Dymista Control is a pharmacy nasal spray for moderate to severe hay fever when an antihistamine or steroid nasal spray alone has not given enough relief. Each spray contains azelastine hydrochloride 137 micrograms and fluticasone propionate 50 micrograms. One bottle provides 120 sprays.

How to use

• For adults aged 18 and over: one spray into each nostril in the morning and evening. Do not exceed two sprays per nostril daily.
• Use regularly during the hay-fever season. Shake and prime the pump as the supplied leaflet directs. Keep your head slightly forward while spraying; avoid the eyes and do not swallow the spray.
• If symptoms are not controlled after seven days, stop and contact a doctor. Do not use continuously for more than three months without medical advice.

Check before use

• Do not use if allergic to either active ingredient or any other ingredient. Not for under-18s.
• Ask a pharmacist about recent nasal surgery, injury, ulcers or infection, tuberculosis or other untreated infection, eye problems including glaucoma or cataracts, severe liver disease, or recent injected or long-term oral steroids.
• Tell the pharmacist about other steroid medicines, ritonavir or cobicistat for HIV, ketoconazole, sleeping medicines and other sedatives. Ask for advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Contains benzalkonium chloride, which may irritate or swell the inside of the nose, particularly during prolonged use.

Side effects and storage

Nosebleeds, headache, unpleasant taste or smell and nasal irritation can occur. Seek urgent help for facial swelling, breathing difficulty or a severe allergic reaction, and contact a doctor for blurred vision or other visual changes. Drowsiness or dizziness can occur; do not drive if affected, and alcohol can worsen these effects. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Discard six months after first opening. Keep out of children’s sight and reach.
