Frequently asked questions

What does Wellwoman Original do?

Wellwoman provides a broad blend of vitamins and minerals. Under the EU/UK Register of Health Claims, the iron, copper and vitamin C it contains contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism, folate contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and selenium and zinc contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

What are the evening primrose and starflower oils for?

Evening primrose oil and starflower (borage) oil are plant oils included in the formula as a source of fatty acids. They are listed as ingredients; no specific authorised health claim is made for them.

Can I take it during pregnancy?

Wellwoman Original is a general women's formula and is not specifically designed for pregnancy. If you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, a dedicated pregnancy supplement may be more appropriate — ask your pharmacist, GP or midwife.

Does it contain iron?

Yes. Each capsule provides 12mg of iron. Because the product contains iron, keep it out of reach of children, as iron can be harmful to very young children if taken in excess.
