Frequently asked questions

How does Deep Heat work?

It is a rubefacient, meaning its ingredients create a warming sensation on the skin when rubbed in. This warmth can help soothe and distract from muscular aches and stiffness in the area.

Can I use a hot water bottle with Deep Heat?

No. Do not apply extra heat such as a hot water bottle, heat pad or hot bath to skin treated with Deep Heat, because this can increase the warming effect too much and cause skin burns.

Where should I not put Deep Heat?

Do not apply it to broken, irritated or sensitive skin, or near the eyes, mouth, nose or other mucous membranes. Wash your hands thoroughly after use so you do not transfer it to these areas.

Can children use Deep Heat?

It is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. It should not be used on children under 12, and you must be 16 or over to buy it online.
