Description

Epaderm Cream is a 2-in-1 emollient from Mölnlycke that moisturises and softens dry skin and can also be used as a soap substitute. It is used for the management of dry skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis, contains no fragrance, steroids or sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), and is suitable for all ages including babies. 500g pump dispenser, sold by Ways Pharmacy (UK).

How to use

Read the instructions supplied with the product before use. For external use only.
Pump the head until cream is dispensed. As a moisturiser, apply generously to the skin and smooth in the direction of hair growth, which helps avoid blocking hair follicles. Do not rub hard.
Use twice a day or as often as needed, and especially straight after washing, bathing or swimming.
As a cleanser, dispense a small amount onto your hand, lather under warm water and use in place of soap, then rinse.
Guide amounts for adults per application: face, ears and neck 1 measure; arms and back 2 measures; legs 4 measures; hands half a measure (1 measure is about 4g). Children under 10 need about half these amounts.

What is the difference between Epaderm Cream and Epaderm Ointment?

Both use the same paraffin-based emollient ingredients. The cream is a lighter water-based formulation that is easier to spread and absorbs more readily; the ointment is thicker and greasier for very dry skin.

Can I use it on my baby?

Yes. Epaderm Cream is suitable for all ages, including babies. Apply it gently in the direction of hair growth.

Can I use it as a soap substitute?

No. Epaderm Cream is free from steroids, fragrance and sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). It does contain the preservative chlorocresol.

Yes. Paraffin-based emollients can soak into clothing, bedding and dressings and make them burn more easily. Do not smoke or go near naked flames when using it.
